Caring for your clothes is important as it allows you & your family to look & feel fresh & clean. But Comfort does more than this. It helps you & your loved ones feel cared for every day.
Being a domestic goddess
For many of us, doing the weekly wash can be a bit of a drag – unless you're a domestic goddess who enjoys it! For those who don't, Comfort offers Comfort Pearls: a new fabric conditioner capsule that goes straight into the washing machine drum at the start of the cycle and gently melts away at the heart of the wash. No more measuring and no more cleaning the gunk out of the drawer.
Through the use of patented technology, the Comfort team have also developed a range of products to make drying and ironing your clothes much easier for you.
How it all started
- Comfort was introduced in 1969. It was the first fabric conditioner to be launched in the UK.
- In 1980 Comfort was relaunched with more perfume, improved softness and a richer appearance, while 1984 saw the launch of the first concentrated fabric conditioner for Comfort (three times more concentrated than regular fabric conditioner).
- The nineties saw many changes to the Comfort brand: a new logo and more modern packaging in 1992 and the first fully biodegradable formulation in 1993. In 1998 Comfort replaced cartons with more environment-friendly and lightweight crushable bottles, introduced their first hypoallergenic fabric conditioner and launched tumble dryer sheets.
- In 2004 Comfort produced the first ever fabric conditioner capsules in the UK, Comfort Pearls.
